Analysis of raw material usage
How to control costs and use resources more efficiently in a manufacturing company?
Without analyzing raw material usage, a company may not realize it’s wasting materials excessively. This leads to unnecessary spending on raw materials, which increases production costs and reduces profit margins. 😥
That's why, in Prodio, you’ll find such an analysis available both in chart and table form! 😃
When creating a product or order in Prodio, you can assign the appropriate raw materials that will be used for its production, along with the specified quantity. Then, when the employee finishes their work, they have the option to log the actual amount of raw material used. Additionally, there is an option to manually edit the quantity of raw material used in the "Work History" tab. To do this, you need to:
Click on the relevant order.
Go to the "Raw Material Consumption" section.
There, you can edit the entered quantity of raw material and save the changes.
You can read more about this in the article: Raw materials in an order
You can find this analysis in the menu on the left side -> Work history ->
The analysis can be filtered by specific materials or their groups. You can choose the current or previous month with daily usage, a 3-month period with weekly charts, a year with monthly charts, or even 10 years with annual charts.
Below, you’ll see the table view. The raw material usage table can easily be exported to a CSV or XLSX file, which contains not only detailed data but also material units and a summary of total consumption. This makes analysis and reporting much easier.
Analyzing raw material usage helps control inventory, optimize costs, plan orders, and improve production efficiency. This way, you can avoid material shortages and waste. 🥳
